At the Sarasota One Design Midwinters last month I had the pleasure of meeting Sean Fidler who is a Pan-American Games gold medalist in sailing and an accomplished sailboat racer in multiple classes. I think it was the first time he had sailed an RS Aero but he quickly figured it out and ended up placing third in the regatta.
Check out Sean’s review of the RS Aero and find out the top ten reasons he liked it so much.
His conclusion?
The RS Aero is the best single handed dinghy that I have ever sailed, by far, PERIOD.
Adding to Sean’s 10:
11) open transom so no water in cockpit
12) wide beam with curved transitions so no hiking pads required.
Good points Andrew – and welcome to the blog!
